As much as we focus on providing high quality outsourced solutions to our clients, we also want to emphasize on catering to the larger social scenario and creating a positive socio-economic impact that can deliver upon our vision of inclusive growth. We believe in building the long-term employability skills of our employees, thereby empowering them towards a financially and socially secure future. Through various employee engagement and training programs we enable them to be more efficient in their current responsibilities. At the same time, we have also created development initiatives that will help prepare them to take up larger challenges and fresh opportunities that lie ahead of them in their professional and personal lives.
Globally, Impact Sourcing is projected to grow at 29.85 percent CAGR, equating to four percent of the total BPO market in 2010, and 11 percent by 2015. Given population trends, over 700 million jobs will need to be created by 2020 to employ youth entering the workforce and help decrease unemployment among the young by 50 percent.
The DesiCrew Foundation conceptualizes and implements the Impact sourcing initiatives of DesiCrew. We believe that some of the basic requirements to build sustainable employability skills include having a college degree, possessing good communication skills and social skills. Towards this we have developed programmes for our employees specifically focusing on Women, the socially and economically disadvantaged, minorities communities and the physically challenged individuals.
Certified Skills Development
We encourage every employee to participate in various skills development programs. We have recently launched The Orient Blackswan English Language Development exercise and other initiatives to build their social and communication skills.
We provide partial fee reimbursement to our full-time employees who have successful completed their higher education and part-time employees who enroll into college degree programmes.
We believe in our employees upgrading their skills and education to stay competitive in today’s professional world. To this end, we provide flexible work hours allowing them balance between their career aspirations and other interests. This could include part-time opportunities for students, home makers and first-time job seekers.
