MESSAGE FROM THE CEO’s DESK
In recent months, the COVID-19 pandemic has emerged as a global challenge as it is creating disruption across the world. The global challenges need global solutions. As the world comes together to fight this crisis, we have formulated a strategic response to COVID-19. Please read below to know more.
Amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to let you know our approach to business continuity and employee safety. We had specific business continuity plans in place that ensure we are operational, even as we continue to be guided by advisories from local governments in all the places we operate in.
By 14th March 2020, much before the Indian Government had announced the lockdown, it was decided to move our resources to work from home. The first challenge was that not all our employees had the IT infrastructure to work from home. Then there was the issue of client access, approval, seamless bandwidth, MIS et al.
As they say, necessity is the mother of invention. A lot of planning and coordination was involved in creating a ‘workstation’ at each home. Each region was different and had different challenges. We had to cover over 250 villages to enable over 700 of our employees to work from their homes. We had to be mindful of implementing seamless delivery for clients and ensuring data security. Now, we are up and running 24/7 from over 700 homes.
Apart from our client operations, we are also utilizing this time on D-TOUCH, our in-house training program. D-TOUCH focusses on Data Science, Machine Learning, Transcription, and SW testing skills. We want to make the best use of this lean period.
I would like to reiterate that in these trying times we are open and operational 24×7 and taking care of all our existing customer needs. We are also onboarding new customers while ensuring the utmost safety for our colleagues. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we could be of any assistance to you.
The coming days and weeks will test all of us all but I am sure we will come out victorious on the other side of this global pandemic.
Please take care and stay safe and healthy.
